“Growing Wild” Solo Show

Growing Wild…

A Profusion of Wild Flowers.  Inspired by flower meadows growing wild and free, drenched in color, reminiscent of magical days of youth. Sunshine, warmth, and summertime are felt in my latest paintings.

Inspired by the summer we spent time in Colorado with my sister and her family. If you’ve ever been to Colorado in the summer you’ll know how prolific the wild flowers grow! Amazing bursts of color, growing wild, with the magnificent mountains as the backdrop inspired me. Larkspur, queen Anne’s lace, thistle, daisies, fairy trumpets, red clover, buttercups, dandelions, all found their way into my latest work. I clipped the wildflowers and pressed them between paper in a book and brought them home in my suitcase. Every painting in this collection has a tiny treasure embedded; a flower petal, stem, or leaf…all from Colorado.
