About Commissions…
Delivering commissioned painting, Moonlit Eagles, to a collector’s home.
The Sun Shines Upon Me, above fireplace, was purchased at an art show.
I am grateful to have completed hundreds of commissioned pieces for my clients over the years. Approximately a third of my annual paintings are commissions. This steady work is comforting, as it ensures financial support for my family. I also appreciate the collaborative nature of the commission process. Visiting clients' homes to discuss elements like color palette, subject matter, and size allows me to connect with them and envision where the artwork will reside.
I've come to realize that creating likeness pieces or "re-creations" of my original works is harder than one would think. The process often shifts from creative exploration to technical execution. While this demands a deeper understanding of composition, color mixing, value, hues, and perspective, I embrace these elements as essential aspects of mastering my craft!
“Working with Anne on our various commissioned pieces has been an absolute pleasure. She listened to and accommodated our specific requests, and ensured every detail we discussed was incorporated.

I gladly welcome the opportunity to create a custom work of art. Commissioning a painting is an exciting collaboration between the artist and the collector - it has been a pleasure to have my paintings commissioned by private and public collectors across the country.
If you’re interested in receiving information about the commission process, please contact me and I’ll send an email with the details.
